applications of ultrasonics in medical field
- Ultrasonics are used to release the contained enzymes.
- Meniere's disease produces hearing loss in the ear and it can be cured by ultrasonic exposure in the ear through the destruction of diseased tissue in the middle ear.
- Proliferation: It is used to increase the fibroblasts by stimulation, thereby producing myofibroblasts.
- Remodelling: It is used to decrease the strength of the scar by affecting the direction of elastic fibers which are responsible for the scar.
- Reversible blood cell stasis: While treating the patient, it is used to gather the blood in columns separated by plasma.
- Ultrasonics are also used in cardiology ultrasonic imaging techniques.
